RetroCrush Provides Ninja Scroll: The Collection, Saiyuki Reload, 3 Extra Anime

Digital Media Rights introduced on Thursday the brand new titles that may stream on its RetroCrush streaming service in December.

The titles embody:

  • Ninja Scroll: The Collection – December 3
  • Saiyuki Reload – December 10
  • Ninja Senshi Tobikage – December 17
  • Magical Emi, the Magic Star – December 22
  • Magical Emi: Semishigure (Magical Star Magical Emi Semishigure) – December 22

All of the titles will stream in Japanese with English subtitles. Ninja Scroll: The Collection and Saiyuki Reload may also stream with an English dub. Magical Emi, the Magic Star and Magical Emi: Semishigure will probably be unique to the service.

RetroCrush is a free, ad-supported video-on-demand service out there in america and Canada. The service has apps on iOS, Android, Amazon Fireplace TV, Roku, Apple TV, and good TVs, along with being out there on browsers. The service launched in March 2020. A free ad-supported tv (FAST) model of RetroCrush launched by way of the STIRR streaming service in July 2020.

Digital Media Rights said to ANN that its purpose with the streaming service is to “function a group constructed for the consumption and dialogue of the Golden Age of Japanese animation, (and a few not so retro), from the views of popular culture, fandom, artwork, web memes & extra.”

The service plans to incorporate a library of content material that “hasn’t had correct streaming releases exterior of Japan.”

RetroCrush‘s streaming companions embody Discotek Media, TMS, NHK, Studio Pierrot, AMG, Happinet, and Proper Stuf amongst others.

NBC Common’s Peacock streaming service added a RetroCrush 24-hour anime streaming channel on June 10.

Pluto TV added a RetroCrush programming block to its ‘Anime All Day’ channel in March. The channel has eight-hour RetroCrush blocks on Thursdays and Saturdays. Redbox added RetroCrush to its streaming service as a 24-hour channel in August, and in addition added anime titles to the free, ad-supported on demand (AVOD) part of its streaming service.
