Vietnamese cinema chain Lotte Cinema introduced on Saturday that it’ll open the 2024 Doraemon movie Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyū Symphony (Doraemon the Film: Nobita’s Earth Symphony) in Vietnam in Could.

The movie opened at #1 in Japan on March 1. The movie bought 538,000 tickets for 655,555,580 yen (about US$4.37 million) in its first weekend.

The brand new movie has a music theme, as Doraemon and mates go on an journey to fulfill new buddies, hook up with folks with music, and save the world from a disaster.

Kazuaki Imai (Doraemon the Film: Nobita’s Treasure Island, Doraemon the Film: Nobita’s New Dinosaur) directed the movie. Teruko Utsumi, a author for the Doraemon tv anime, penned the script for the movie. The tv anime’s present solid members reprised their roles for the movie.

Doraemon the Film 2023: Nobita’s Sky Utopia, the franchise‘s forty second anime movie, opened in Japan in March 2023. The movie ranked at #1 in its opening weekend, and bought 542,000 tickets for 663 million yen (about US$4.87 million) in its first three days.
