Chinese language movie distributor MediaLink started streaming a Chinese language-subtitled trailer for the Gekijō-ban Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Film) anime movie final Friday. The trailer reveals that MediaLink will open the movie in Hong Kong in March.

Medialink will even open the movie in Taiwan on February 24.

The movie opened in Japan on December 24. It earned 2,694,128,150 yen (about US$23.5 million) in its first three days, and topped the field workplace chart for its opening weekend. The movie has to this point offered 7,191,107 tickets for 9,839,644,200 yen (about US$85.1 million) within the 38 days since its opening.

The movie relies on Gege Akutami‘s Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Kōtō Senmon Gakkō (Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu Excessive Faculty) manga prequel story, with MAPPA animating once more and TOHO distributing. Viz Media launched the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 manga in January 2021, and it describes the story:

Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous highschool scholar who’s affected by a major problem—his childhood good friend Rika has was a Curse and will not depart him alone. Since Rika isn’t any bizarre Curse, his plight is observed by Satoru Gojo, a trainer at Jujutsu Excessive, a faculty the place fledgling exorcists learn to fight Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, however can he study sufficient in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?

Megumi Ogata voiced the primary character Yuta Okkotsu, and Kana Hanazawa voiced the character Rika Orimoto.

The Jujutsu Kaisen tv anime premiered in October 2020, and it had 24 episodes. Ani-One Asia aired the anime in Southeast Asia because it was airing in Japan.
