Eiga Sumikko Gurashi: Aoi Tsukiyo no Mahō no Ko (The Magical Youngster of the Blue Moonlit Night time), the second movie in San-X‘s Sumikko Gurashi franchise, is getting a sport for Nintendo Swap on December 2.

The Eiga Sumikko Gurashi: Aoi Tsukiyo no Mahō no Ko – Sport de Asobō! Eiga no Sekai celebration sport consists of 20 mini-games based mostly on the film’s episodes. Each mini-game will be performed with a single Pleasure-Con and helps as much as 4 gamers. By taking part in mini-games, gamers can obtain jigsaw puzzle items as prizes. Every jigsaw puzzle depicts a scene from the film. New magician characters from the movie may even be within the sport.

The movie will open in Japan on November 5.

Takahiro Ōmori (Durarara!!, Natsume’s E-book of Associates, Princess Jellyfish) is directing the movie. Reiko Yoshida (Violet Evergarden, Lu over the wall, Okay-ON!) is penning the script, and Kaori Hino (Modest Heroes, Napping Princess) is coming back from the primary movie because the artwork director. Fanworks is returning to animate the movie, and ASMIK Ace is distributing.

Within the movie’s story, the principle characters go on a tenting journey in the future within the fall, and that evening they recall a legend: that after each 5 years, on the evening of a giant and blue full moon, magical creatures will go to the city. The characters search for, solely to see a big and blue moon overhead.

Sumikko Gurashi debuted in 2012 as barely unfavourable characters who like to remain within the nook of a room. The characters embody “Shirokuma,” a polar bear who’s delicate to chilly; “Penguin?” (with a query mark in its title), a penguin who’s uncertain whether it is really a penguin; “Tonkatsu,” a chunk of pork cutlet that was left uneaten; “Neko,” a shy cat; and “Tokage,” who hides his nature as one of many final dinosaurs.

The primary anime movie, titled Sumikkogurashi – Good to be within the nook, opened in Japan in November 2019. The movie ranked at #3 in its opening weekend. The movie ultimately offered a complete of 1.22 million tickets, and it earned 1.4 billion yen (about US$12.8 million) on the field workplace in Japan as of February 2020. The movie received the award for Greatest Animation of the 12 months on the twenty ninth Annual Japan Film Critics Awards in June 2020.

Mankyū ([email protected] Cinderella Women Theater, Jaku-San-Sei Million Arthur) directed the primary movie at Fanworks. Takashi Sumita (Europe Kikaku) penned the script. Kaori Hino (Napping Princess, In This Nook of the World) was the artwork director.

The franchise has impressed toys, books, stationery materials, and video video games. The primary movie impressed the Eiga Sumikko Gurashi: Tobidasu Ehon to Himitsu no Ko – Sport de Asobō! Ehon no Sekai (Sumikko Gurashi the Film: The Surprising Image E-book and the Secret Youngster – Let’s Play a Sport! Worlds of Image Books) Swap sport, which launched in November 2019.
