Summit of the Gods Animated Movie Nominated for France’s César Awards

France’s 2022 César Awards nominated the France-Luxembourg animated movie of Jiro Taniguchi‘s The Summit of the Gods (Kamigami no Itadaki) manga for its Finest Animated Characteristic class.

Netflix has the worldwide rights to the The Summit of the Gods movie outdoors of France, Benelux, China, Japan, and Korea. Netflix launched the movie in choose U.S. theaters on November 24 and in choose U.Ok. theaters on November 26. The movie started streaming on Netflix on November 30.

The manga is itself an adaptation of Baku Yumemakura‘s novel. The story follows Fukamachi, an avid wilderness photographer who discovers a hyperlink to the previous in Kathmandu, Nepal. He finds a digital camera supposedly belonging to George Mallory, a mountaineer who went lacking on Mt. Everest. After assembly Joji Habu, a well known climber with a passionate drive for the mountain, the 2 set off to uncover a chunk of misplaced historical past.
