GKIDS revealed on Thursday a brand new English-dubbed trailer and the English dub forged for Mamoru Hosoda and Studio Chizu‘s new BELLE (Ryū to Sobakasu no Hime, actually “The Dragon and the Freckled Princess”) anime movie.

GKIDS will start screening the movie in English and in Japanese with English subtitles within the U.S. on January 14. The movie will display in English and in Japanese with English subtitles. There might be IMAX previews in choose theaters starting on January 12. GKIDS screened the movie on the Anime NYC 2021 occasion in November.

BELLE opened in Japan on July 16. The movie had IMAX screenings in 38 theaters all through Japan. This makes BELLE the primary of Hosoda’s movies to have IMAX screenings.

The movie has earned a cumulative whole of 6,397,159,950 yen (about US$56.44 million) as of October 10. The movie is Hosoda’s highest-grossing movie. MX4D screenings for the movie opened on October 22.

(The director’s earlier Mirai movie screened on the Administrators’ Fortnight, an unbiased part held in parallel to the pageant, in 2018.) The movie had its North American premiere at New York Movie Competition on September 25.

Hosoda (The Lady Who Leapt By way of Time, Summer season Wars, The Boy and The Beast, Mirai) directed and scripted the movie, and can also be credited for the unique work. The movie marks Studio Chizu‘s tenth anniversary. Taisei Iwasaki (Blood Blockade Battlefront, Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan, The Bare Director) is the movie’s music director and composer.
