SNK started streaming a trailer for its The King of Fighters XV sport on Thursday highlighting the character Whip (voiced by Shiho Kikuchi).

SNK will launch the sport on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Sequence X|S, Home windows 10, Steam, and the Epic Video games Retailer on February 17, 2022.

SNK delayed the sport because of the new coronavirus illness (COVID-19) pandemic affecting the event schedule. The sport was initially scheduled to launch in 2021.

The sport’s open beta check will likely be held from November 19-22.

The sport will function 39 playable fighters, together with all characters from earlier video games.

The sport’s preliminary roster contains: Shun’Ei, Meitenkun, Benimaru Nikaido, Iori, Joe Higashi, Kyo, Chizuru, Leona Heidern, Mai Shiranui, Andy Bogard, Yuri Sakazaki, Terry Bogard, Yashiro Nanakase, King, Shermie, Chris, Ryo Sakazaki, Robert Garcia, Ralf, Clark, Blue Mary, Luong, Vanessa, Ramon, King of Dinosaurs, Athena Asamiya, Antonov, Ash Crimson, Kukri, Isla, Ok’, Heidern, Dolores, and Whip.

SNK launched The King of Fighters XIV, the newest installment within the franchise, for PlayStation 4 in August 2016. SNK then launched the sport for PC by way of Steam in June 2017.

The collection is inspiring a Chinese language-animated CG movie titled The King of Fighters: Awaken that may debut concurrently worldwide in 2022.
