The official web site for the tv anime of Ehime prefecture’s “native story” Kanashiki Debu Neko-chan (The Unhappy and Fats Cat) revealed the anime’s forged, workers, and December 6 premiere date on Friday.

Kenichi Takitoh performs the titular “unhappy and fats cat” Maru (left in picture above), whereas Ehime native Nana Mizuki performs the black cat Madonna (proper).

As beforehand introduced Michiya Katō (Okko’s Inn compositing director of images, Odenkun, Nandaka Velonica) is directing the anime at Cyclone Graphics inc., and can be now credited for the scripts. Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama, Fairy Tail 2018 sequence) is designing the characters. Youichi Watanabe is the artwork director. Guitarist and Tokyo Jihen and PETROLZ band member Ryōsuke “Ukigumo” Nagaoka is composing the music.

The anime has 10 three-minute episodes. The primary 5 episodes will premiere on NHK in Ehime from December 6 to 10 at 8:42 p.m., and the subsequent 5 episodes will premiere on December 13-17. The anime will then premiere in the remainder of Japan in batches, with a primary batch of episodes on December 19 at 11:55 p.m., after which one other batch on December 26. One other nationwide airing can be weekly from January 10 to February 28 at 00:00 (successfully, midnight the subsequent day).

The anime celebrates the eightieth anniversary of the NHK Matsuyama Broadcasting Station .

The anime’s story facilities on a cat named Maru, adopted by a woman named Anna from a shelter in Matsuyama metropolis. Cherished and nicely fed by the household, Maru will get rounder and fatter daily, spending most of his day sitting by the window and looking out on the backyard outdoors. When the household will get a brand new cat named Cerisier and begins doting on it, Maru will get jealous. In a combat with Cerisier, Maru is harm by the household’s phrases to him, and follows the recommendation of one other cat to depart and see the world.

The “native story” started as an illustrated story written by Kazumasa Hayami and illustrations by Karin Kanō that was seriailized within the Ehime Shimbun newspaper from April 2018 to November 2018. The character had an artwork e-book in 2019, and a brand new story serialization within the newspaper that ran from September 2019 to June 2020. Shueisha revealed the collected story in a single quantity on March 19.
