Japanese Man Arrested for Promoting Hacked Variations of Pokémon in Pokémon Violet Sport
Kyoto police have arrested 36-year-old inside decorator Yoshihiro Yamakawa underneath suspicion of violating Japan’s Unfair Competitors Prevention Act by promoting hacked variations of Pokémon within the Pokémon Violet sport for Nintendo Change.
The person was arrested throughout a cyber patrol on April 9 in Uji Metropolis. The suspect allegedly modified the Pokémon’s skills with particular instruments and offered them for about 13,000 yen (US$84) every between December 2022-March 2023. He has reportedly made tens of millions of yen throughout that point. When questioned, the suspect said he made the gross sales to help himself.
